"What are you grateful for?"

Cafe Gratitude is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. There is one here in the East Bay in Berkeley. And there are several others, one being in the Mission in San Francisco. My best friend/roommate Shal and I went to the city for the day, it was a gorgeously beautiful sunny California afternoon. We had to take full advantage of it, so we took the bart to Powell Street, where we window shopped and people watched, then we headed to the Mission for lunch, at Cafe Gratitude. Here is how they describe themselves (they do a much better job than I could!)

"Café Gratitude is our expression of a world of plenty. Our food and people are a celebration of our aliveness. We select the finest organic ingredients to honor the earth and ourselves, as we are one and the same. We support local farmers, sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly products. Our food is prepared with love. We invite you to step inside and enjoy being someone that chooses: loving your life, adoring yourself, accepting the world, being generous and grateful every day, and experiencing being provided for. Have fun and enjoy being nourished. Welcome to Café Gratitude!" Cafe Gratitude

So after an amazingly delicious meal, Shal and I had been inspired on many levels. Here is some of my thoughts after a great inspiring day in the city...

A relationship is about being with another. A relationship is a mirror, a way we reveal the wounds and negative things we hold inside us which separate us. We see what judgements and criticisms we put upon ourselves. Relationships become about compromise, rather that unconditional love. When we provide unconditional love we are being our true pure selves. That is the vision of our spirit- to love unconditionally, to be grateful each and every moment, to share this gratitude with others, to lift ourselves up to our highest form. When we finally take ownership of "yourself" then the union of two can be seen and created. We have to release our regrets, our past pain, our negative thoughts. We must release the negative and embrace the positive. We are humans, we have weakness but having strength in a community keeps everyone strong. We need to support one another
always, despite wrong doing or judgment. We must release our judgments of ourselves and of others, we must release criticism. We must own ourselves, own your own thoughts. Make them positive and gracious thoughts. We must release resistance, we must embrace the ability to control our own experiences. We manifest our own destiny, we make our life whatever we want it to be. I want my life to be full of love, full of gratitude for everyone and everything, I want my life to be full of positive thoughts and constant support to those I love. I want my life to be free, free to become whatever I will it to. I want to see each day as an adventure. Nothing is mundane is you have the right thoughts and approach. Everything is my life. I am grateful for the abundance of life I receive every day. I am blessed, and I am thankful.

Valentine's Day Designs

TWISTED HEART
.necklace.

This sweet pendent is a sterling silver one of a kind hand made twisted heart. It hangs on a fine sterling silver light chain. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39472618

LOVELY HEART
.ring.
This lovely handmade heart ring is made of sterling silver that has been oxidized to a beautiful shiny grey blue. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=39471296

LUCKY HORSESHOE
.ring.
This "Lucky Horseshoe" ring is made of sterling silver, which has been oxidized to give it a beautiful shiny gray color. I chose to oxidize it because real horseshoes are made of iron, which has a natural gray color. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39469264

When kept as a talisman, a horseshoe is said to bring good luck. You must hang it with the ends pointing upwards for good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by.

All these items are available, and all have a special offer of FREE SHIPPING if purchase by Valentine's Day Feb 14th 2010. Some other items are included in the promotion for FREE SHIPPING, also if purchased by Valentine's Day Feb 14th 2010.

Rain Rain Go Away...

Hi All-
So I am all moved into my new studio! Yay! Just have a bit more unpacking to do there, but all in all I am ready to start working. I just celebrated my 25th birthday last weekend (the 16th). I spent the weekend in Los Angeles with my friends in Marina Del Ray and went surfing in Santa Monica, it was amazing!! As a present to myself, I got a new digital SLR camera! SOO excited! Now I can take some really great photos of my jewelry. Still on the lookout for a great macro lens though!

Just sold a custom ring to a sweet lady who lives in Pennsylvania, near where I grew up. I love doing custom work, it's always so rewarding to know something I made for was designed specifically for someone. She wanted this beautiful ring http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24150614 with peridot instead of CZ. I think it came out great, the green stone with the yellow gold is just stunning. I sent it out before I took a photo of it unfortunately, but I think I will make another one to have it's own listing.

Another new piece I made as a gift for myself for my birthday is a new design that will be custom for whoever orders it. Your name on a gold chain, in hand made wire font. I absolutely love this necklace, I wear it everyday!! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38335825

It has been a busy start to the new year already! I just got my wisdom teeth out on Friday, so I have been recovering the past few days. New designs are coming along in the next few weeks though! SO stay posted :) ciao for now!

New Studio!

WELL... it seems like it is finally happening! My very own private studio for my jeweler's bench and all my creative processes. And the most amazing part is it is only 2 blocks from my house! So I can walk there anytime and work on making jeweler and other art. I am SO excited! It will be so much easier to get work done in a quiet private place rather than my bedroom with all the distractions of my house. YAY! I will keep ya'll updated!

2010

Well it is now 2010, the holidays are over, and the new year brings a fresh start to life. I had a great december, filled with family, warmth, and lots of love. My wonderful brother got married, pictured above are the wedding rings I made for him and his beloved.

Christmas was spent in Colorado at my father's new house. We made our Grandmom's famous pizza for dinner, mmm mmm good. We went snowboarding on Christmas eve, which was freezing but fun! Back to the Bay for New Years, we drove to Reno and went snowboarding in Tahoe, which was breathtakingly beautiful. Now it is January 4th, which means there are only 12 days until my 25th birthday. I am finally ready to find a studio for my workbench and jewelry creating. I am hoping to find something in Alameda, or at least in downtown Oakland so I don't have to travel far.

I am ready to embrace this new year, and I am excited for all the wonderful things that will come.
